Daron Norwood is excited and honored to join a host of other writers in a tribute to Randy Tupin in Amarillo presented by Texas Music for Life in October 2011.
Daron Norwood has had several major hits on radio and music charts and has worked with some of the biggest names in Country Music ….. Jim Ed Brown, Travis Tritt, Alabama, Kenny Chesney, Mark Chesnut, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Merle Haggard, George Jones and others.
Daron Norwood’s hits include “If It Wasn’t For Her I Wouldn’t Have You”, “Cowboys Don’t Cry”, “If I Ever Love Again”, “Bad Dog No Biscuit”, “My Girl Friday” and “In God We Trust”.
He recorded “You’d Be Home By Now” for the movie soundtrack “A Thing Called Love” starring River Phoenix and Sanda Bullock. He also co-wrote and recorded “Little Boy Lost” for the Keit Whitley tribute album that went Platinum. He has performed on the Grand Ole Opry as well as touring most of the United States.

In 2004, Daron Norwood was nominated for 5 awards, and was honored with the Song of the Year by the Inspirational Country Music Association with the song, “In God We Trust.” Daron is now in the process of picking and writing his songs for the Texas Country Debut album. 2 New CDs are available at his concerts.
Daron Norwood has been singing with the West Texas Country Music Hayride with Reydon Stanford, Cathleen Tyson and Trey Topper in south Texas this summer. The Hayride is developed to showcase new talent, and provide entertainment you can bring grandma, and the kids to. The show also has helped raise money for theaters, senior scholarship funds, and a young lady with a cancerous tumor named Shelbee Roberts. Getting involved with the communities, and meeting the audience in a more intimate setting has been life changing.
