Chancy Bernson
Chancy Bernson is a singer/songwriter from Amarillo, Texas, who believes that if Marc & Lynda Durham hadn’t opened “Durham’s” bar to an open mic, he may not have ever gotten to perform in front of anyone. Since those days of open mics, Chancy has released 2 full length albums with all original music and is currently in the process of recording his 3rd. He has also held together a 5 piece band for the last 6 years.
In 2011, Chancy, and longtime musician friend Jeff Williams (Groove Promotions), released Chancy’s 1st single “Amarillo” to Texas radio. After spending 24 weeks on the Texas Music charts and peeking at #80, that was enough to claim a spot in the top 200 songs list for 2011 in Texas. Most recently, Chancy was fortunate enough to find another song he wrote called “Red Dirt Town” featured on the 1st episode of the nationally televised ABC show “GCB”. He is expecting to release his next single in the summer of 2012.
Jeff Williams
Jeff Williams was raised in Perryton, Texas and has been playing guitar for roughly 20 years. He has been active in the Amarillo scene since 1999 and started the band, Copperhead, in 2000 and toured all over for 7 years. Two songs penned by Jeff received extensive airplay and charted at #10 and #23 on the Texas Music Chart. “When The Boys Hit Town” was one of the top 50 most played songs of 2004. Copperhead recorded two albums with many of the songs being Jeff’s originals. He is currently working a new band, The Flying Elbows (www.flyingelbowsband.com), who are currently in the studio working on their first CD.
Jeff was a full-time musician and part-time chiropractor during in the Copperhead years. Now he is a full-time chiropractor (owner of Amarillo Pain & Accident Chiropractic Clinic in Amarillo) and a part-time musician. Jeff also co-owns and runs Texas Drive online radio station, which plays Americana/Texas Country (www.tx-drive.com) and is a Texas Music Chart reporter. Jeff also owns and runs Groove Promotions (www.groovetexas.com), which promotes artists’ recordings to DJs and radio stations in the Americana markets nationwide.
John Cooper is a self-taught musician who started playing guitar at the age of 14. His early influences were Van Halen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Ozzy, Irion Maiden, and Neil Young. When John first started playing, he found it much easier to make-up his own songs, rather than learning songs from records. He has been writing songs ever since.
John gave his life to Jesus at the age of 17 started writing praise songs, and at age 18 he began playing bass in the praise band. He recorded his first album in 1990 with his friend and songwriter, Toby Tate. They formed the band, “Tehillah”, which played locally in The Tidewater area of Virginia. Their album received airplay on a local Christian music stations, and the band won first place at the Talent Harvest 1995 with John’s song, “Friends and Family.”
After relocating to Amarillo, John found a home playing guitar in the Amarillo Fellowship Church praise band, and he continues to write songs.
Kacie Williams currently resides in Amarillo, Texas …but, her heart’s homeis in Nashville, TN. While in Nashville, Kacie had the opportunity to write alongside artists such as Don Chaffer (Waterdeep), Jeromy Deibler, Alli Rogers, Madi Diaz, Jeff Pardo & many more. She has also collaborated with ever so elegant Ellie Holcomb & the effortlessly talented Robbie Seay Band.
Kacie enjoys skinny jeans, Shiner Bock, organic foods, aesthetic design and impeccable colour combinations. She plans to continue doing what her heart loves & hopes to bring her music to parts of the world that warmly welcome it.
Kacie recently won a House of Blues talent contest and won, among other things, the opening slot for Dave Barnes at the House of Blues in Dallas on April 13, 2012. She was very well received.
